Microwefting Treatment
Micro wefting is a hair extension technique used to add length, volume, or thickness to natural hair. It involves attaching small wefts, or strips, of hair extensions to the natural hair using a micro-link or micro-bead method. This technique is popular because it offers a more discreet and natural look compared to traditional sewing or gluing methods.
Here's how micro wefting typically works:
- Selecting Hair Extensions: High-quality human hair extensions are selected to match the color, texture, and length of the client's natural hair.
- Preparing the Natural Hair: The stylist prepares the client's natural hair by sectioning it and making small, evenly spaced partings along the scalp where the wefts will be attached.
- Attaching Micro Beads or Links: Micro beads or links, which are tiny metal or silicone rings, are placed on the natural hair near the roots of each section. A small strand of the extension hair is threaded through the ring, and then the ring is clamped shut using special pliers. This secures the extension to the natural hair.
- Securing the Weft: The weft of hair extensions is then sewn or attached to the micro beads or links. The weft is positioned close to the scalp, so it blends seamlessly with the natural hair.
- Blending and Styling: Once all the wefts are attached, the stylist blends the extension hair with the natural hair and trims and styles it as desired.
